Jashobeam - First Month Commander for King David
Jashobeam, son of Zabdiel, commanded 24,000 men of King David's army during the 1st month of the year in times of peace. While many of the commanders of the 12 months were named as belonging to David's Mighty Men, not all of them were.
NOTE: It is possible that this is the same person as Jashobeam the Hachmonite (mentioned 16 chapters earlier) who slew hundreds of men in battle, but since the Book of Chronicles defines them differently without making a further connection, and due to the fact that the name of the Hachmonite (or Eznite) is in dispute, we've left them as separate men. However, it is worthy to note that both were leaders in David's army.
