Hanan - Chief

Hanan was a Chief of the People who served under Nehemiah (Governor of Judah) who signed (sealed) a covenant with numerous others saying they would obey God's Law.

NOTE:
There are two men with the name Hanan mentioned in Neh 10 as chiefs of the people and sealers of the covenant. They aren't mentioned anywhere else. Same name, same roles, same event. Nothing is known that distiguishes the two.
